How to Get Reminded Before a Game Starts

Every game's full detail card has a bell icon - tap it to get notified 30 minutes before that game starts. The bell fills in solid once the reminder's actually set; tapping it again cancels.

Manual reminders

Set one on any game, for any reason - it doesn't need to involve a team you follow. Playhead schedules it locally on your device, and if you've allowed notifications, mirrors it to Playhead's own server too, so it can still reach you as a real push notification even if the tab or app isn't open when it fires. Without that permission, the reminder still works, but only while you're actually in the app when it's due.

Automatic reminders for teams you follow

Follow a team (see how follows work) and Playhead arms a reminder for that team's next upcoming game on its own, no bell tap required. It keeps rechecking as games finish and new ones come up, so there's always one armed for whatever's next. Unfollow the team and its automatic reminder is dropped along with it.

Don't want a reminder for a specific game even though you follow the team? Tap the bell to cancel it like any other reminder - Playhead remembers you turned that one off and won't re-add it for the same game.
